The Prolific Dyslexic

I’ve realised that I am not as tech savvy as I thought I was. So I’ve been putting off upgrading to WP 2.8 because I’d have to take backups and all that. Also due to the fact that there hasn’t been any internet access at home. So when I finally had access here in Bombay, I decided to look up stuff. Still no clue. So I tweeted and some tweeps responded with help generously.

So then I went to Il Filosofo site (actually through the “Manage Plugins” panel) and got the backup tool. Very useful. Also managed to get a download of the entire database from dreamhost. And then updated to 2.8.something. Easy.

The interface looks slightly better, and the page doesn’t get distorted when I do a “quick edit”.

Feel better that the blog is all cleaned up. Now to post some useful stuff.
